Salvation

How Can I Be Saved?

If you die today, will you go to Heaven?

Don’t let this day pass by without securing your future with Christ,

Salvation is free!

It’s a gift from God.

Acts 4:12 states,
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

You don’t have to do anything to earn it. Salvation can’t be earned or deserved.

John 3:16 states,
“For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

It’s because of God’s love for you and His grace that you can receive this gift.

Ephesians 2:8–9 states:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

But Salvation isn’t ours until we accept it.

Steps to Receiving Salvation:

  1. Acknowledge that you are a sinner. Romans 3:10, 23 says, “There is no one righteous, not even one… For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
  2. Recognize that Jesus died on the cross for you. I Peter 3:18 says, “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.”
  3. Repent of your sins. Acts 3:19 NIV says, “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out…”
  4. Receive Jesus as your Savior. Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

Say This Prayer:

Dear God, I know I’m a sinner. I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe in my heart that He died on the cross for my sins and that you raised Him from the dead on the third day. Your Word says everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Acts 2:21). I call on you, Lord. Thank you for delivering me from the kingdom of darkness and transferring me into the kingdom of Your dear Son. Thank you for paying the full price of my sins. I am ready to trust and receive you as my Lord and Savior.Today, I place my faith in you. From now on, guide my life and help me live a life that honors You in everything I say and do. Thank you for forgiving my sin and cleansing me of all unrighteousness. Thank you for hearing my prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

That’s it! You can now say,

“I am a Christian – a child of Almighty God!  I am saved!”

What To Do Now That You Are Saved?

Help me wisely use the resources You’ve given me, too. The world offers much advice about using our resources, but I want to follow the wise counsel of your Word. I want to make wise financial decisions, manage the resources I have on hand to generously bless others, and invest money and things for Your use and glory. Give me the wisdom to be a good steward of all You supply.

Dear God, we are Your handiwork, created for Your pleasure, and You have ordained daily work for each of us. Before the foundation of the world, You also prepared good works for us to do. Give me wisdom as I work in my home, neighborhood, job, or wherever You call me to serve daily.

  1. Find a church. You need to hear the Word preached often to build your faith in God. So, find a good church and Pastor Who teaches the Bible. The Bible says in Romans 10:14, “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
  2. Read the Bible. Make time to read the Bible and study the scriptures for yourself. If you are new to the Bible, many easy-to-read versions like the NIV (New International Version) exist. You can read the Bible book, or the Bible from your computer or mobile phone by downloading the BibleGateway app or at www.biblegateway.com.
  3. Pray. You can communicate with God through prayer. Prayer is essential because God will speak to you and reveal His plans and purpose for your life.
  4. Become a disciple. Now that you are a Christian, discipleship is crucial to your success. You need to be taught the ways of Christ and then act on it. You must begin to walk and live by faith. Jesus said to those who believed in Him, “If ye continue in my Word, then are ye my disciples indeed” (John 8:31). So, you must believe in Him, hear His Word, and obey it. When you were not a disciple of Jesus, you sought after what pleased you. But Jesus says, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23). Read the Bible to discover more about what to do to please God.
